The Best Bath and Body Works Christmas Scents!

Christmas is coming and just like fall, I’m going to enlighten you on my favorite Christmas body care items from Bath and Body Works.

Starting off strong with the cult class, Vanilla Bean Noel. This scent smells like freshly baked, warm, frosted holiday cookies. The top note is rich vanilla, with some smaller whiffs of sugary caramel and frosting. If you don’t like sweets, you won’t like this! It’s über-sweet and is my all-time favorite Bath and Body scent.

Next, we have Twisted Peppermint. This fragrance smells cool and crisp like a fresh candy cane. There is a hint of warm vanilla and sweet sugar tucked away. This scent is very festive and is one I always reach for. I wear this when I don’t want to smell super sweet, and it is perfect for the candy cane season.

Finally, we have another favorite of mine, Frosted Coconut Snowball. This scent has a warm, creamy coconut note, followed by a toasty vanilla coating. This scent is so comforting and reminds me of sitting on the couch watching festive movies with hot chocolate.

All of these fragrances are perfect for Christmas, and they just bring so much joy. I can’t recommend them enough. I hope you all enjoy these scents and possibly use them this holiday season!

It's Finally Christmas, What Should I Do?

It’s finally Christmas time! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to tap into the Thanksgiving mindset mentioned in a previous post. Now that it’s officially the Christmas season, I thought I should mention some ideas to prepare for what is approaching and how you can start getting festive!

First of all, decorate your home or bedroom. I know this helps me get into that holiday spirit and celebrate to the most of my ability. It is a super fun way to warm your home and get everyone excited!

Second, get yourself some matching pajamas with someone you love! It is one of my favorite ways to be festive. Getting dressed in your matching Christmas outfit and bundling up to watch a movie is one of the best things you can do during the holidays.

Last, a super easy and simple way to change things up is to switch out your soaps and towels. The holiday aromas and visuals are super comforting and can spice up your celebration.

I hope you all appreciate these simple tips for merging into the Christmas spirit! This season is so amazing and we can’t allow it to pass us by, and we must enjoy all moments!

Get Into The Thanksgiving Mindset!

I wanted to dedicate a post today to Thanksgiving! Shocking that I am not jumping on Christmas, but first I just wanted to discuss what I think is a fundamental theme in life, that mainly occurs during Thanksgiving.

The Thanksgiving mindset, what is this? Well, the Thanksgiving mindset is usually people “getting into the spirit of the holiday season” by being thankful and generous for what they have. But, we need to be thankful and grateful every single day of the year. We must always be rejoiceful and thank friends, family, and God, for the things we are blessed with.

This mindset is NOT only for this time of the year, this should resonate within us and be prolonged throughout our entire lives. Rejoice for what you are thankful for, and tell your loved ones you are thankful for them 365 days a year. Tell God what you are grateful for, pray, and be grateful for all you have been given.

This time of year gets us all in the spirit to be thankful, but do not limit yourself to the months of November and December. Always be thankful and always rejoice!

The Weeks Proceeding Thanksgiving, What Happens?

I wanted to take a minute to talk about this particular time of year. There are three genres of people; the ones who still have Halloween decorations up, the ones who have jumpstarted on Christmas (me), and the ones who decorate for Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving decorators amaze me because I could never live with turkey and cornucopia decorations, but the Christmas people have my heart.

A lot of people get enraged with the people who decorate for Christmas in November, but I don’t know how to decorate for Thanksgiving. Quite frankly, I don’t want to because I love Christmas and I want it to last forever.

Let me know what you think about decorating for Christmas early, and thanks for listening to my train of thought. Also, let me know if you want holiday decorating ideas!

What to do during the weeks following Halloween!

It’s sad to see Halloween go, but I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and got lots of candy! I don’t know about you, but when Halloween is over, I switch gears and immediately go into Christmas mode. Although, most people do not start celebrating the Christmas season until after Thanksgiving. With the last couple of weeks of fall, I want to share some fun things that I like to do!

Of course, there is the classic “jump into a big pile of leaves in the front yard,” which is one of my favorites. I like to do this with my friends, and it is really fun. Another thing to do is have a fire and roast marshmallows. Especially with the cool NOT cold weather, it is nice to enjoy the warmth with the ones you love and have a warm treat. Along with this, we like to binge-watch all of the Fall/Halloween episodes on Disney. This is a great way to reminisce on childhood memories and put this season to rest.

Finally, I usually dedicate a day to riding around in some form of an automobile (car, four-wheeler, bike, etc.) and enjoy the scenery, then we smash our rotting pumpkins, and eat a bunch of Halloween candy!

I hope these were helpful in finding ideas on what to do during the transitional period of the seasons!

Pumpkin Carving Ideas!

Halloween is almost here, and one of the best festivities of this holiday season is carving pumpkins. Now, there is a lot of skill that goes into this, but it also requires patience. The premise of this activity is to have fun and be creative and not be stressed, so I am here to help inspire you to carve pumpkins this Halloween!

When I carve pumpkins I usually go for the classic “scary face” pumpkin. Usually with big triangular-shaped eyes, and a mouth that stretches from ear to ear riddled with pointy teeth. This is a simple design, but you can still be creative with it. You can have a nice-looking pumpkin with round eyes and squared teeth, or you could do what I did and create a scarier pumpkin.

I made mine more unique by only having top teeth, and by etching scars on its face that go from its eyes to the mouth.

The other pumpkin in this picture was made from a template sheet. If you couldn’t tell, it is a witch. The process of carving this into the pumpkin was fairly simple. All you had to do was pin the drawing into the pumpkin and trace around it with your sharp object.

These pumpkins were also carved using stencils, and they turned out great! It doesn’t matter if you imagine a carving in your head or use an inspiration sheet. Both ways look amazing, and they are simple to do. Even if you aren’t as skilled with art, you can create an individualistic pumpkin carving. I encourage everyone to take part in this seasonal activity and carve pumpkins!

Pumpkin Spice Seasonal Treats!

It is shocking that I have written a blog about the seasons and haven’t dedicated a post to Pumpkin Spice. So, the topic of choice today is Pumpkin Spice. I know there is a lot of controversy about pumpkin spice. I know many people who detest it, and many who love it. I am someone who loves Pumpkin Spice.

I was sitting in class a while back with a bag of Pumpkin Spice Goldfish, and I made the decision to eat them, all of them. They are fantastic. I had no idea that these existed, but I am glad I know now.

Also, another great Pumpkin Spice food/beverage is the Tim Hortons Pumpkin Spice Iced Capp. It is an icy cold drink with whipped cream and a thick P.S. drizzle on top. It is very sweet and refreshing, and it is different than the Starbucks P.S.

Finally, we have one of my favorite P.S. flavored items, and that is Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer! I absolutely love hot coffee, and when I saw this creamer I had to have it. It gives the coffee a pumpkin-esque hint to it but doesn’t take over the flavor.

If you LOVE Pumpkin Spice as I do, you should definitely check out some of these seasonal favorites!

Halloween Costume Ideas for 2022!

Halloween is coming, and I have a fantastic costume idea. This is for you if you want a fun, creative costume.

Last Halloween, I dressed up as George Michael, my favorite singer, and the year before I was Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite. This year, I am following the obscure costume theme, but I am switching directions and I will be dressing up as my dad!

I feel like pirates, wolves, and zombies are all over-used ideas for costumes, and I think that this Halloween everyone should wear newer, more extraordinary costumes that aren’t as common. This spices up the holiday and gives your costume a unique look.

Dressing up as something original is so creative because you can be something that most people have never seen before.

For my costume, my friends and I are going to dress up like our dads and wear their clothes. It will be super funny and unique.

I encourage everyone to branch out this year and dress up as something fresh and individualistic. I hope you surprise your friends and family with this costume!

Cutest Doggie Costume!

October is upon us! That means you have to start planning your Halloween costumes now, but for who? Today, I’m going to go over some great costumes to get your pets into the Halloween spirit!

I personally always dress my dogs in a pumpkin costume or a spider costume. Chewy offers great costumes to dress up your dog. There is a lot to choose from on this website.

I think dressing up pets is so much fun and it is super cute. It’s a small detail that makes the season that much more special.

You could go for something simple, like this skeleton bandana. It is so cute and simple for dogs who usually don’t keep their costume on. Or, you could get a scarier headless horseman costume!

Those two are both very festive and adorable. Some dogs don’t keep their costume on, so the bandana is a great alternative to make sure your dog is ready for the holiday. But, if `your dog keeps the costume on, the full-body outfits are so cute!

I hope this was helpful for dog costume shopping! Soon, I will be covering human costumes!

Free People Fall Favorites!

Cold weather brings a new wardrobe, and I have a bunch of fall favorites to share. The best part of cold weather is big jackets, pants, and boots, and I can’t wait to wear them out again!

For starters, I have a few jacket recommendations for the incoming cold weather. First of all is the Ain’t She Lovely Jacket from my favorite clothing store, Free People. This jacket is sporty and flowy, which is a great cover-up for the weather. I love the silhouette and the fluffy fleece material, combined with the skirt’s bottom.

Next are my all-time favorite boots for fall, and that would be my Dr. Martens. These boots are so chic and comfortable. They match anything and are a great fall staple.

One of the best inventions of all time is overalls. I LOVE overalls! I think they are so cool and not enough people are wearing them. Again, Free People has some of the best clothing for seasons. These overalls are super cool and have a unique brown corduroy.

That’s it for my fall favorites. I hope this guide to fashionable fall weather gives you some ideas on what to wear!

Yard Full of Skeletons!

Halloween is approaching us, and that means we need to find new ideas to decorate our environment. Luckily, I was inspired by this really creative idea for decorating your front yard.

All you need is two (or more) large plastic skeletons and a great imagination! There are really good human-sized skeletons at WalmartTo get them to stand you can use tomato stakes and prop the skeleton on them, and you can use zip-ties to keep the limbs in place.

The idea is that you take the skeletons and dress them up or display them to make it look like they are acting something out. They could be sitting in a lawn chair in real clothes, or they could be planting flowers. There is no limit to what you can do with them!

A friend of mine decorated their yard by having one mowing the lawn with a push-mower, and the other one was running behind. It is a really fun and creative way to spice up your yard with the spirit of Halloween!

This is a really fun idea for anyone interested in decorating their yard for the upcoming holiday. Feel free to share other ideas, in terms of decorations, for all of the yard-accessorizing junkies out there!
