Free People Fall Favorites!

Cold weather brings a new wardrobe, and I have a bunch of fall favorites to share. The best part of cold weather is big jackets, pants, and boots, and I can’t wait to wear them out again!

For starters, I have a few jacket recommendations for the incoming cold weather. First of all is the Ain’t She Lovely Jacket from my favorite clothing store, Free People. This jacket is sporty and flowy, which is a great cover-up for the weather. I love the silhouette and the fluffy fleece material, combined with the skirt’s bottom.

Next are my all-time favorite boots for fall, and that would be my Dr. Martens. These boots are so chic and comfortable. They match anything and are a great fall staple.

One of the best inventions of all time is overalls. I LOVE overalls! I think they are so cool and not enough people are wearing them. Again, Free People has some of the best clothing for seasons. These overalls are super cool and have a unique brown corduroy.

That’s it for my fall favorites. I hope this guide to fashionable fall weather gives you some ideas on what to wear!

Yard Full of Skeletons!

Halloween is approaching us, and that means we need to find new ideas to decorate our environment. Luckily, I was inspired by this really creative idea for decorating your front yard.

All you need is two (or more) large plastic skeletons and a great imagination! There are really good human-sized skeletons at WalmartTo get them to stand you can use tomato stakes and prop the skeleton on them, and you can use zip-ties to keep the limbs in place.

The idea is that you take the skeletons and dress them up or display them to make it look like they are acting something out. They could be sitting in a lawn chair in real clothes, or they could be planting flowers. There is no limit to what you can do with them!

A friend of mine decorated their yard by having one mowing the lawn with a push-mower, and the other one was running behind. It is a really fun and creative way to spice up your yard with the spirit of Halloween!

This is a really fun idea for anyone interested in decorating their yard for the upcoming holiday. Feel free to share other ideas, in terms of decorations, for all of the yard-accessorizing junkies out there!

Best Bath and Body Fall Body Care!

In my previous blog, I went over my personal favorite candle scents for the fall season. Now, I would say that I am a connoisseur of all things candle but for today, I will be discussing my favorite body care items because the best part of fall is the release of Bath and Body Works’ seasonal scents. However, I will only be depicting the most noteworthy of them all.

Taking the cake is my number one favorite Bath and Body Works fall fragrance, Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte, which I am currently wearing. This scent is incredibly warm and comforting, and that does not overwhelm the person sitting next to you.

Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Shower Gel

Notes: Upon the first sniff, you get an introductory smell of a warm, sweet pumpkin scent, with a hint of cinnamon, followed by the sugary and smokey notes of the marshmallow. The title does address that it is “latte,” but I would disagree with this, for there is no underlying coffee note. The pumpkin is prominent whilst having the submissive vanilla-esque marshmallow note and a quick whiff of maple syrup.

This scent is incredible and will last all day! I get a copious amount of comments and compliments from people on this fragrance!

Another great fall body care set would have to be Sunrise Woods. This fragrance is almost the opposite of the Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte scent. Sunrise Woods is more of a crisp, refreshing scent. This perfume is not intrusive on the nostrils.

Notes: Post-spritz this fragrance releases a fresh, woody scent. The outstanding notes in this perfume would be a jumble of earthy, spicy, and musky notes. It smells as if you walked into the forest the morning after it has rained, and there is still dew on the grass. It is amazingly familiar and brings some nostalgia along with the great blend. This fragrance is perfect for people who prefer a crisp scent, that isn’t super sweet.

I am one who appreciates the spectrum of sweet and earthy scents, and I do enjoy periodically shifting the scent that I chose to wear. These are my favorite scents for fall from Bath and Body Works that I continue to wear and enjoy every day. Which do you prefer, sweet or earthy? Let me know!

Best Bath and Body Works Fall Candles

Bath and Body Works has a strong chokehold on the fall and winter seasons. They continuously release their addictive seasonal scents that people keep coming back to every single year, and I may be a victim of this myself. I have nearly all of their fall and winter collections ranging from body wash to candles. Therefore, I am quite the expert in the realm of fragrance, and I am loaded with advice and opinions on each and every one.

Personally, I don’t like my body and my house smelling the same way. Likewise, there are some scents that work better for smelling up a room and some that are best worn on the body.

Candles are one of the best ways to dabble in the holiday spirit. The Bath and Body Works candles last super long and deliver a strong, yet not overpowering, scent. Most importantly, I feel that fall scents must have some sort of musky/nature-esque or pumpkin aroma.

Pumpkin Pecan Waffles is one of my go-to fall candle scents. You catch a whiff of freshly baked waffles generously doused in sweet, sugary maple syrup. Then, the strong pumpkin note reveals itself and blends perfectly with the sweetness of the syrup, with a hint of brown sugar. This is my all-time favorite Bath and Body Works candle. This candle is festive and homey and is fantastic for the cold weather.

Leaves is a great candle from Bath and Body. Upon the first sniff, you catch a crisp clean smell of nature, followed by a spicy-apple fragrance. The two harmonize and produce an earthy, fruity scent. This candle is the best musky scent that Bath and Body Works has to offer. The earthy notes play into each other really well which seamlessly melts into the air.

Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin is such a warm and comforting scent. The first aromatic note is cinnamon. The cinnamon combines with a cool vanilla latte with pumpkin cold foam. This candle is such a staple for fall. The blend of spicy and sweet is an extremely pleasing smell.

Now, there are many candles that Bath and Body Works produces for seasonal changes, but these are the favorites that I buy over and over again. I would recommend these candles to anyone who needs advice on what scents are festive and comforting.
