It's Finally Christmas, What Should I Do?

It’s finally Christmas time! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to tap into the Thanksgiving mindset mentioned in a previous post. Now that it’s officially the Christmas season, I thought I should mention some ideas to prepare for what is approaching and how you can start getting festive!

First of all, decorate your home or bedroom. I know this helps me get into that holiday spirit and celebrate to the most of my ability. It is a super fun way to warm your home and get everyone excited!

Second, get yourself some matching pajamas with someone you love! It is one of my favorite ways to be festive. Getting dressed in your matching Christmas outfit and bundling up to watch a movie is one of the best things you can do during the holidays.

Last, a super easy and simple way to change things up is to switch out your soaps and towels. The holiday aromas and visuals are super comforting and can spice up your celebration.

I hope you all appreciate these simple tips for merging into the Christmas spirit! This season is so amazing and we can’t allow it to pass us by, and we must enjoy all moments!

Get Into The Thanksgiving Mindset!

I wanted to dedicate a post today to Thanksgiving! Shocking that I am not jumping on Christmas, but first I just wanted to discuss what I think is a fundamental theme in life, that mainly occurs during Thanksgiving.

The Thanksgiving mindset, what is this? Well, the Thanksgiving mindset is usually people “getting into the spirit of the holiday season” by being thankful and generous for what they have. But, we need to be thankful and grateful every single day of the year. We must always be rejoiceful and thank friends, family, and God, for the things we are blessed with.

This mindset is NOT only for this time of the year, this should resonate within us and be prolonged throughout our entire lives. Rejoice for what you are thankful for, and tell your loved ones you are thankful for them 365 days a year. Tell God what you are grateful for, pray, and be grateful for all you have been given.

This time of year gets us all in the spirit to be thankful, but do not limit yourself to the months of November and December. Always be thankful and always rejoice!

The Weeks Proceeding Thanksgiving, What Happens?

I wanted to take a minute to talk about this particular time of year. There are three genres of people; the ones who still have Halloween decorations up, the ones who have jumpstarted on Christmas (me), and the ones who decorate for Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving decorators amaze me because I could never live with turkey and cornucopia decorations, but the Christmas people have my heart.

A lot of people get enraged with the people who decorate for Christmas in November, but I don’t know how to decorate for Thanksgiving. Quite frankly, I don’t want to because I love Christmas and I want it to last forever.

Let me know what you think about decorating for Christmas early, and thanks for listening to my train of thought. Also, let me know if you want holiday decorating ideas!

What to do during the weeks following Halloween!

It’s sad to see Halloween go, but I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and got lots of candy! I don’t know about you, but when Halloween is over, I switch gears and immediately go into Christmas mode. Although, most people do not start celebrating the Christmas season until after Thanksgiving. With the last couple of weeks of fall, I want to share some fun things that I like to do!

Of course, there is the classic “jump into a big pile of leaves in the front yard,” which is one of my favorites. I like to do this with my friends, and it is really fun. Another thing to do is have a fire and roast marshmallows. Especially with the cool NOT cold weather, it is nice to enjoy the warmth with the ones you love and have a warm treat. Along with this, we like to binge-watch all of the Fall/Halloween episodes on Disney. This is a great way to reminisce on childhood memories and put this season to rest.

Finally, I usually dedicate a day to riding around in some form of an automobile (car, four-wheeler, bike, etc.) and enjoy the scenery, then we smash our rotting pumpkins, and eat a bunch of Halloween candy!

I hope these were helpful in finding ideas on what to do during the transitional period of the seasons!
